Our Horses

Diesel, 11.3hh, 26 years old, does beginner lessons and pony rides. Diesel was the first pony at the riding centre and the Playbarn. He first did Pony rides in 1997. Diesel enjoys mounted games, when he was younger he won many trophies at local shows, in 2016 he was part of the South Norfolk Pony Club mounted games team. Diesel started off very dark and is now nearly white!

Smartie, 12hh, 25 years old, does beginner to advanced lessons and hacks. Smartie first came to Poringland for Georgina and took part in all pony club activities as well as competing in show classes (picture is from the Norfolk Show). he has been with us since 2002. Smartie has attended lots of pony club events and has attended camp with three diferent riders. He is a fantastic first ridden pony. His show name is 'Sparton Bounty' and he is a registered welsh section A

Mac, 25 years old, 13.2hh, does beginner to advanced lessons and hacks, previously a BSJA affiliated pony.

Crunchie, 26 years old, 12.2hh, does beginner to advanced lessons, very fast off the lead rein.

 Malibu, 16 years old, 14.3hh, does beginner to advanced lessons, a very good hack horse.  

Sparky, 25 years old, 11hh, does lead rein lessons and pony rides. One of our quietest ponies. 

 Lad,15 years old, 15hh, does intermediate to advanced lessons and hacks, a very good jumper.

 Simon, 25 years old, 14.2hh, does beginner to advanced lessons and hacks, a good allrounder.

 Woody,12.3hh, 23 years old, does lead rein and intermediate/advanced lessons and hacks. Previously a Pony Club competition pony and still competes at dressage. Woody (show name 'Fairlight Touchwood') has been at the centre since 2002.  Woody was Thomas Kidner's competition pony and has been competed by both Georgina and Oliver.  Woody won numerous jumping classes and was very fast against the clock. He was also excellent at dressage and represented South Norfolk Pony Club with 5 diferent riders. 

Woody jumped in the main ring at the Norfolk Show in the working pony class as well as competing at many major championships. 

 Max, 18 years old, 15.3hh, does beginner to advanced lessons and hacks, a very good confidence builder.

Digger, 26 years, 10.3hh, does lead rein and beginner lessons. A real favorite!

 Ernie, 11.3hh, 22 years old, does lead rein to beginner lessons and pony rides.
