We offer lessons from the age of 4 year upwards to a maximum weight limit of 12 stone. Group, private lessons and hacks are available 7 days a week. Lessons are structured and follow the ABRS progressive riding awards. In bad weather we work towards stable management ABRS awards and use the simulator.
All our staff are experienced, qualified instructors who have passed CRB checks and are first aid trained. We teach to BHS Stage 2 level and can also provide training for NVQ's.
Our lessons take place in our all weather floodlit arena on ponies chosen specifically for you. All our ponies are well schooled and whilst safe they are also spirited as they enjoy their work.
Group lessons are a mixture of flat, jumping and hacks (depending on ability). If a specific activity is required then private lessons can be booked.
We take health and safety very seriously and as such riders are expected to complete various forms and where correct attire at all times when around the horses. However we don't forget that riding should be fun!
We have friendly ponies from 10.3hh upwards that provide children with a fun learning experience. As the children progress they move up groups and earn our achievement certificates along the way. We provide lessons in our arena, led hacks on our private farm land and when older and more experienced we progress to riding on the road. Lessons start off with learning the basics of control and school movements and progress through to working without stirrups, pole work and jumping as the rider improves with time.
We can offer group lessons on a weekly or fortnightly basis at set times, if you would like to ride on your own or less regularly we can offer private lessons.
For those interested in having a ride without instruction we can offer a 'plod' a walk out for half an hour around one of our fields.
We can cater for adults with private or semi private lessons, these can be arranged to suit you and can be flat or jumping. For those of you returning to ridng after a break the simulator provides a safe route back into the sport.
We can arrange private hacks at a time to suit you, please note that riders must be capable of rising trot before we will take you for a hack and all new riders must have been assessed in a lesson first.
